About the event
Join us in creating one of a kind LED lanterns that can be used in all of your winter celebrations to welcome in brighter days! Winter Solstice (December 21st in the northern hemisphere) marks the darkest/shortest/coldest day of the year, and the start of the winter season. With each day following, the Sun’s strength builds and the light increasingly returns, until it reaches its peak at the Summer Solstice, the brightest/longest/warmest day of the year. This rebirth of the Sun and the return of light and warmth has been celebrated since ancient times. Symbolically it represents the start of another year of renewal, growth and transformation in our own lives. Wire lanterns and all materials needed to beautifully decorate and illuminate them for winter celebration will be provided.
