Create a fun mixed media piece highlighting the goldfinch! At this time of year, the males have their bright yellow feathers on display and females will soon begin building their nests. American Goldfinches use a four-syllable call when they’re ready to take flight. If you listen closely, it sounds like the birds are saying “po-ta-to-chip”. If you want to attract these colorful birds to your yard, they love sunflower seeds!
