Calling all budding artists: rising 4th-8th grade

Art Camp

Jun 26-29 Monday - Thursday 9 am - noon

 This is not your ordinary art camp with crafts, but a packed curriculum. Students will learn a variety of mediums and styles, as well as the “language” that helps a creator start a piece of art and finish with the components of color theory, composition, balance, focal point and overall visual dialogue. Yes- at the end of this week your young artist will understand all of this.

 Our mornings will be filled with a variety of materials and styles every day. For your “doodlers and drawers,” we will explore pen, water, paintbrush and work in black and white. For your “crafty cutters“ and "collage kiddos," we will do an abstract painting and then create a beautiful collage on top. For your “paper-pack rats,” we will create a beautiful paper collage and painting that will bring them hours of pleasure rifling through an assortment of mulberry and rice paper and learning a shaving cream squeegee marbleizing process. For your “messy explorers,” we will get into alcohol ink and manipulate, blow and flow this fun medium into mushrooms, jelly fish or a forest of color. For our final day all of our budding artists will be presented with a canvas for self exploration and expression to create their very own masterpiece incorporating all they have learned and experienced that week. Because of the unique nature of this camp and the hands on teaching they will receive from Andria, seats are limited. A minimum registration of 4 students is required and a maximum of 7 will be accepted. A $100 non refundable deposit is required (unless we don’t meet our minimum, then the deposit will be refunded).
